Tips For Building Your Team:

  • Once you've started your team, select a team captain. The captain will act as the key liaison between the team and the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland.

  • Set your individual and team fundraising dollar goal to raise in the fight against diabetes. Your team goal will be the combined goals for each of your team members.
  • Recruit team members. Use the features provided through the website to send out recruitment emails. Have new members register through the website as well by following the link in the e-mail, and ask them to recruit other team members. Team members can also pre-register by phone or regular mail.
  • Fundraise. We are working together to raise funds to support education and programs offered to people affected by diabetes in your Northeast Ohio community. Our website makes fundraising easier than ever. You can send emails to your friends and family encouraging their support. Keep track of your individual and team online fundraising on your personal webpage.
  • SWIM!! Have fun with your team at the event the weekend of April 4-6. You are making a difference in the lives of the 1 in 13 people in Northeast Ohio with diabetes. Be sure to get a team photo!
