Attend the
Verizon Wireless Swim for Diabetes SWIM CLINIC
with Olympic Medalist DIANA MUNZ
and her Coach, JERRY HOLTREY

May 15 at Cleveland State University�s Busbey Natatorium

Improve your competitive swimming skills and gain an edge! This special swim clinic will feature Olympic medalist Diana Munz and her Coach, Jerry Holtrey as well as other local coaches who will focus on teaching stroke mechanics, improving starts, turns, and kick techniques, land training and conditioning, exercise nutrition and injury prevention.

The 2010 Swim Clinic is a four-hour clinic from 12 p.m to 4 p.m. for ages 8-18. Registration is limited to ensure that clinic participants get the highest quality instruction possible and will be handled on a first come/first serve basis.

SWIM CLINIC SCHEDULE:

11am - 12pm: Registration
Noon - 3pm: Swim Clinics
3pm - 4pm: Presentation by Diana Munz and her Coach Jerry Holtrey, followed by a Pizza Party, photo and autograph session for Swim Clinic participants.

Swimmers are asked to arrive and stay in their suits in order to minimize changing time and should bring warm deck clothes to wear while not in the water. Swimmers should bring multiple towels as they will be in and out of the water. Locker rooms will be available.

A minimum donation of $100 per participant is due on or before the day of the event. Day of event registration will be quicker if your donations are turned in by Friday, May 14 on this website. However, credit cards, cash, and checks will gladly be accepted on the day of the event at the registration table.

Each Swim Clinic participant will:

  • Receive a Commemorative 25th Anniversary Verizon Wireless Swim for Diabetes T-shirt
  • Will be eligible to receive one FREE Lower Reserved Ticket to watch the Cleveland Indians vs. Washington Nationals on Saturday, June 12 (7:05pm at Progressive Field). Plus you can purchase Lower Reserved Discounted Tickets for family and friends on your SWIM participant online ticket order form (all tickets must be placed on one order at the same time to be seated together).

Registration:

Swimmers can create your own personal fundraising page on on this website to email solicitation letters for donations (provided or create your own), track your fundraising progress to compete for great prizes. It�s easy for people to make online donations to help you reach your fundraising goal!

Parking Instructions
Parking on the street at meters is free on Saturdays. Cleveland State University charges $6.00 to park in the garage connected to the Natatorium.

Spectator Instructions
Swimmers and Working officials ONLY will be allowed on deck. This is a liability issue and no parents will be allowed on deck.
